Five years ago I bought a cross-stitch pattern from Heaven and Earth Designsilta (HAED). It's Myles Pinkney's Christmas Precence. It has 450 x 535 stitches, 240 750 altogether. Not a small task. There are also 90 different floss colors. You can see a picture of it in the link above.

A couple of years ago I finally bought the fabric, missing floss and a stitching frame. The fabric I chose to use is 28 count Lugana, so as to make the finished piece as small as possible. I'm working one strand of floss over one thread of fabric.

I have come to the conclusion that the frame does not work for me. I have see what's going on behind the fabric as well. Otherwise the floss get tangled.

Even though I started to work on this a couple of years ago, I didn't get very far. Only just now I have started to work on it again. I thought I could post pictures of my progress here every week or every couple of weeks. Maybe that way I'll finally be able to make some real progress.
